Multi-award winning legend, Daniel Schmid, creates a hilarious, black comedy about Irina, a Russian call girl who finds herself in a fairy-tale Alpine country, where an intricate plot unfolds after she inadvertently sets in motion a long-since forgotten plot involving greed, the government, and the fate of a nation. Beresina or The Last Days of Switzerland is a charming and delightful masterpiece full of eccentric and sometimes obtuse characters. Elena Panova also provides an efficacious voice to her role and is one of the true comedic discoveries of the past decade.
